About Kamol Hospital

Kamol Hospital is a name many of us hear early on when we start looking at surgery in Bangkok. Its founder, plastic surgeon Dr. Kamol Pansritum, certified by the Thai Board of Plastic Surgery since 1997, spent six years as a surgeon in Lopburi province before opening his own clinic in the capital. In 2009 that clinic became a purpose-built 5,200 square metre hospital in Wang Thonglang, north-east Bangkok, designed and run by his wife and CEO, Siripen Pansritum. It is accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), and patients now come from more than 70 countries.

This is a full hospital, and for the longer operations trans men need, that matters. There is a microsurgery theatre and an endoscopic theatre, an 11-bed recovery room, an in-house lab, X-ray and ultrasound, heart checks on site, and anaesthesiologists and gender-affirming psychiatrists on staff. Dr. Kamol leads the surgical team, and facial masculinization is done by Dr. Sanipreeya Yingtaweesithikul, a plastic surgeon board-certified since 2015 and at Kamol since 2018.

If you're flying out on your own, the hospital takes much of the weight. Your first consultation is free, from photos, and you're given a personal representative and video calls with the surgeons before you book a flight. Multilingual coordinators handle the details, English and Thai are spoken with interpreters on request, a limousine collects you from the airport, the hospital can extend a medical treatment visa, and after discharge you recover at K Garden, its own serviced apartments.

For trans men it covers the whole path: top surgery, hysterectomy, metoidioplasty, phalloplasty, facial masculinization and voice masculinization, so one hospital can stay with you from chest to face. Confirm your surgeon and your plan in writing at consultation. This is information, not medical advice; decisions about your body are for you and your surgeon.
